La vida, un tipo de estado, el único que conocemos y al que mas nos aferramos. La muerte, la culminación de todo, el fin de nuestra existencia. Pero.... los que corren con suerte al morir pueden conseguir un pequeño trabajo de medio tiempo. Matar Zombies y a cambio conservar su vida.
Akatsuki Chika y Tachibana Shito conocidos también como el chico A y el chico B son dos estudiantes de Instituto, ambos guardan una apariencia muy misteriosa por lo que nadie habla con ellos. Sin que nadie lo sepa ambos muchachos murieron hace 6 meses en un accidente. Sin embargo continúan en este mundo... ¿Porque?
Ambos son parte de la organización Zombie Loan un grupo que se encarga de otorgarles "prestamos" de vida a las personas. ¿la forma de pagar el préstamo? Pues haciendo el trabajo sucio de la organización, exterminando zombies ilegales y demás criaturas sobrenaturales que aparezcan para acabar con el orden y la tranquilidad de nosotros, los simples mortales.
Kita Michiru es una chica del mismo instituto, aparentemente una persona normal, pero sin que nadie lo sepa ella es poseedora de los ojos de shinigami. (y si les recuerda a Death Note solo es pura coincidencia U_U) Con esta habilidad, Michiru puede saber cuando se van a morir las personas, pues cuando a un humano le llega su hora un anillo negro, que solo ella puede ver, aparece en su cuello.
Por culpa de su curiosidad Michiru descubre que Chika y Shito ya pasaron a mejor vida. Es en ese momento que ambos la amenazan con matarla, pero Chika quien se da cuenta de las habilidades de Michiru decide que deben conservarla como mascota y así con su ayuda, saldar sus respectivas deudas con la organización más rápido.
Es así como la vida de Michiru cambiara radicalmente, de vivir aburrida como estudiante sin amigos a cazadora de zombies junto a Chika y Shito. Pero claro esta, ellos no están solos cuentan con la ayuda de Yuuta una chica con la habilidad de curar el ectoplasma, (en otras palabras su energía) también esta Bekkoh el encargado de la organización y de los prestamos.
En sus cortos 11 capítulos nuestros protagonistas tendrán que resolver distintos casos, extrañas muertes, misteriosos asesinatos y mientras lidian con todo esto andarán tras la búsqueda de los responsables de crear a estos zombies ilegales que a diferencia de ellos no han hecho ningún trato por lo que no pertenecen mas a este mundo.

Personajes:
Kita Michiru: Una chica muy tímida, que se deja manipular por sus compañeras de clases. Ella posee los ojos de shinigami, lo que le permite saber cuando una persona va a morir, reflejándose en unos anillos negros en los cuellos de las personas. Michiru considera esto como algo horrible pues cuando era pequeña vio los anillos negros en sus padres y al poco tiempo estos murieron.La vida de Michiru tomara un rumbo completamente fuera de lo común cuando conozca a Chika y a Shito quienes la usaran para encontrar a los zombies ilegales.
Akatsuki Chika: Temperamental y agresivo. Chika es un chico muy popular en el instituto. Sin que nadie lo sepa el y otro estudiante murieron en un accidente. Así que ambos viven una doble vida, estudiando en el instituto y exterminando zombies.Al principio parece un chico solitario y poco sociable. No es hasta la mitad de la serie, cuando la historia ya a avanzado un poco, que conocemos a su padre y a su hermana. Con lo que vamos viendo a un Chika más amable.
El posee un lazo especial que lo une con su compañero Shito, pues como ambos hicieron el trato para continuar con vida, deben estar juntos casi todo el tiempo. Sus armas las invocan intercambiando sus manos.
Tachibana Shito: Es un chico callado pero bastante amable. Shito tienes muchos deseos de vivir y fue por eso que hizo el trato. Sin embargo, aunque nadie lo sepa Shito tiene un oscuro pasado y tal parece que antes de hacer el trato el ya era alguien "especial".
A pesar que siempre para peleándose con Chika ambos son buenos amigos. Además Shito sabe que necesita de su compañero para poder volver a la vida. Su arma es un revolver que se recarga con ectoplasma.
Bekkoh: El dueño de Zombie Loan. No es un humano, Bekkoh es bastante ambicioso y estricto. Se preocupa mas por su dinero que en sus "socios". Aunque siempre esta tranquilo hasta en los momentos más intensos, no se sabe mucho sobre su vida o su pasado. Lo único que sabemos de Bekkoh es que el esta ahí para hacer los prestamos de vida.
Supuestamente tendrá una participación mucho más importante en la segunda temporada.

Yuuta: Mi personaje favorito de esta serie xD. Tampoco es humana. Su habilidad es regenerar el ectoplasma así que es algo así como la doctora del grupo.
No se sabe su edad, ni tampoco si estará mentalmente cuerda xD. Siempre se le ve hablando con sus manos, según ella sus mascotas, ken-ken y kon-kon.
Otra de sus características es que siempre tiene atuendos muy interesantes, al parecer es una chica con un gusto peculiar para la ropa.
Yoimachi Koyomi: Reside en las instalaciones de Seiseki Kurou y es parte del grupo de Zombie Loan. Su habilidad especial es poder transmitir las últimas palabras de los muertos.
Conocida también como La lengua de los Muertos, Koyomi una chica que se muestra dulce y amable tiene en realidad una doble personalidad.
Yomi, su otro yo, por alguna razón despierta cada vez que Michiru la besa. Es mucho mas impulsiva y esta obsesionada con Michiru por lo que siempre la para acosando.

Kuze Shimotsuki: La directora del antiguo colegio Seiseki Kurou. Tiene la apariencia de una niña, pero desde el primer momento en que aparece se da a entender que no lo es.
Ella ayuda a los muchachos de Zombie Loan, ofreciendoles sus instalaciones para que se queden a vivir.
Es muy callada y no se expresa mucho. También se desconoce sobre su pasado.
¿Segunda Temporada?
Se sabe que en la Séptima edición del DVD de Zombie Loan (programado para Abril de este año) estarían viniendo los capítulos 12 y 13 de la serie con lo que se espera se de conclusión a esta temporada. Probablemente estos 2 episodios sean lo último que veamos de Zombie Loan en anime, mientras tanto el manga aun se seguí publicando y la historia aun parece no tener un final, por lo que también seria posible una segunda temporada de 13 capítulos mas.
Nada esta dicho aun y por el momento solo nos queda esperar al séptimo paquete del DVD para disfrutar de estos 2 capítulos inéditos. Pues en el episodio 11 la historia queda inconclusa.
Conclusión:
No es uno de los mejores animes del género, pero si cabe resaltar que ya se estaban dejando de lado este tipo de series. Como que hacia falta un anime de zombies xD. Sin embargo la historia no es del todo atractiva, muchos clishes y personajes poco originales (la misma Michiru es muestra de esto). Siendo así, que uno de sus pocos puntos fuertes de Zombie Loan en cuanto a originalidad es la manera de pelear de los protagonistas (el intercambio de manos). Otra cosa que si resalta mucho son las buenas canciones que se trae Zombie Loan. En especial el genial ending “Chain Ring” interpretado por los tan afamados de MUCC (por cierto la banda cumplió 10 años en el 2007).
En fin concluyendo con todo esto, Zombie Loan no es una serie tan especial pero tiene sus momentos memorables, una que otra pelea de vez en cuando, muchas escenas graciosas y bastantes chibis. Si eres de los que te agrada este tipo de mezclas entonces este anime es para ti.
